  1. INSTRUCTIONS

  3. Image Specifications
  4.  
  5. Images are available in TIFF format as well as Bitmap format (BMP) for your
  6. convenience. They may be used in your favorite word processor, publishing or
  7. paint application, or in any program that can read TIFF or BMP graphic formats.
  8. TIFF images are located in the "01" folder that is inside the "CONTENT" folder.
  9. You can also access a folder called "BMP" that contains Bitmap (BMP) format 
  10. images. It is located in the main (root) directory of the CD-ROM.

  12. WINDOWS IMAGE BROWSER INSTALLATION
  13.  
  14. WINDOWS 95:
  15.  
  16. *Insert CD in drive. 
  17.  
  18. *Select "Run" from the "Start" menu. Type in "D:\STARTUP.EXE". Omit quotes and 
  19. replace the letter "D" with the appropriate letter for your CD drive 
  20. (D is the most common). Click "OK". 
  21.  
  22. *Click on install icon (upper left corner of installer window) and follow 
  23. on-screen instructions.
  24.  
  25. *After your computer reboots, click on the "Start" menu, select "Programs" then
  26. go to "Mars + Pathfinder Images". Finally select the "PATHFNDR.KDB" icon. 
  27.  
  28. *The CD MUST BE IN THE DRIVE to launch the browser and view the images. 
  29.  
  30. *When in the browser, right-click on the thumbnail to view a full screen 
  31. image.

  33. WINDOWS 3.1:
  34.  
  35. *Launch Windows and insert CD in drive. 
  36.  
  37. *In your Program Manager select the "File Menu" and choose the "Run" command. 
  38.  
  39. *Type in the path: "D:\STARTUP.EXE". Omit quotes and replace the letter "D" 
  40. with the appropriate letter for your CD drive (D is the most common).

  42. *Click on install icon (upper left corner of installer window) and follow 
  43. on-screen instructions. 
  44.  
  45. *Once restarted, go to your "Program Manager" and open the program group named 
  46. "PATHFNDR".

  48. WINDOWS SCREEN SAVER INSTALLATION
  49.  
  50. WINDOWS 95:

  52. *Insert CD in drive. 
  53.  
  54. *Select "Run" from the "Start" menu. Type in "D:\SCRN_SVR\WIN95\INSTALL.EXE". 
  55. Omit quotes and replace the letter "D" with the appropriate letter for your CD 
  56. drive (D is the most common). Click "OK" and follow on-screen instructions.

  58. WINDOWS 3.1:

  60. *Launch Windows and insert CD in drive.

  68. WINDOWS QUICKTIME INSTALLATION
  69.  
  70. Quicktime is required to view the video clips we have included in our browser
  71. application. If you don't have Quicktime already installed on your system,
  72. please follow these Quicktime installation instructions:

  74. WINDOWS 95

  76. *Select "Run" from the "Start" menu. Type in "D:\QTINSTAL\WIN95\QTEASY32.EXE". 
  77. Omit quotes and replace the letter "D" with the appropriate letter for your CD 
  78. drive (D is the most common). Click "OK" and follow on-screen instructions.

  80. WINDOWS 3.X
